Our Past

Yellowstone Bees began as a gift idea in Sweet Grass County, Montana in 1997. Our first products were inspired by a love and respect for nature's cures and a desire to support healthier lifestyles among friends and family by making natural body care products for their every day use.

With nearby Yellowstone National Park as an inspiration, our founder created formulas she knew would be natural, safe, and effective for those closest to her. Along the way she discovered that beeswax was an excellent ingredient for good skin care. Borrowing a little of Yellowstone Park's cache and a little from the busy bees seemed like a fitting tribute to Mother Nature – hence, our name Yellowstone Bees.

Our Present

Today we are located in Bozeman, under Montana's Big Sky, still just a few miles north of Yellowstone Park. Bozeman is a historic western town tucked into an agricultural valley in the southwestern corner of the state. We are surrounded by inspiring mountain views, world-class rivers, and the best wildlife Nature has to offer. We are part of a vibrant entrepreneurial business community, and have access to many supportive resources offered through Montana State University which sits on the edge of downtown.

Demand for our natural body care products is growing every day as more and more people seek natural, healthy, safe and effective products. We remain committed to using the highest quality natural ingredients possible. Our products put your body first! We never use ingredients that are not good for our customers such as parabens (artificial preservatives) or mineral oils. We are constantly testing ways to add more pure essential oils and other natural skin care ingredients throughout our product line.

Our testing and manufacturing facilities are located in Montana and Idaho. We have a growing network of wholesale partners as well an expanding base of retail customers. We have embraced sustainable business practices in our sourcing, packaging and operations. Our dedicated staff is ready for each day's challenges as we work to bring only the best natural body care products to you.

Our Future

Our dream for Yellowstone Bees is the size of Montana's Big Sky. We wish to be an important contributor to the natural health and beauty industry. We will help educate a generation on the effectiveness of natural skin care alternatives. We will serve as a trusted source of information about natural skin care solutions. Most of all, we will keep helping our customers heal cuts & scrapes, soothe dry & rough spots, minimize & erase scars, soften & smooth wrinkles, and protect & moisturize skin all over – naturally!
